Since the first shot was fired, the revolution of freedom was forever documented and reprinted in the good words of our best writers. For many years the attempt for peace and tranquility has been challenged by the expansion of our population. The more the merrier? Not really. The more people crammed together, the less space we have and the more ammunition we acquire to clear room for our idea of freedom. If you want to challenge that idea, then good luck. You would have to rewrite the books of history again. Get in line.( Thank god for the music in between all of us.)
Recalling to memory, this first shot fired, doesn't change the incentive that we the people started with. We actually didn't start with anything, if you think about it. We continued what was started across the pond long ago. Americans sometimes forget the little facts in pursuit of the big plans and ideas that will suit everyone here and now; today. But this country was made from the very same ideas that anyone would want from a country: Happiness and the right to enjoy living a life. The happiness never leaves the planet. In fact, it kind of IS the planet. What we accept as the experience of happiness might be a million different versions at this point in time. Long ago in the UK, there was a 700 year reign of ownership that inspired the Scottish and the Irish to fight for their freedom and right to this universal happiness; mixed in with the many different types of people there in the UK, as well.
This eventually pushed it's way over here and continued. And in this continuum; this skirmish; this struggle for freedom and the right to experience happiness, America was born. But it was nothing new. We just had some great writers convincing us that it was. But, to a lot of us, it's the same story that everyone is living world wide. And now that the world is, indeed, connected via the internet, the proof is there. When this country started, we literally had a captive audience. Now the whole world is the crowd. And there seems to be a difference, for the time being.
Getting back to that first shot that was fired...it really wasn't the first, if you recall.. It was just another shot in a continuous battle for the idea of the pursuit of happiness. I have never fired a bullet from a gun in my life, so far. I hope I never will. But I do not hate guns the way that you may think I do, right now. That shot may have missed and things could be different for us all in this land. But it hit and America was born, subsequently. Killing is wrong when the idea behind it has no moral value. What is a moral value? Sharks have what is called a feeding frenzy when there is blood in the water. People have a similar reaction to killing. It is war. The important thing to remember is that all wars are fought on the grounds of happiness, just sitting there waiting for us to experience it again. In that thought is the freedom I find in every constitution ever written in the history of mankind. Liberty and justice for all who know the definition. And none for those who do not. We stand on a revolving world that let's us experience whatever it is that we want.
There is a book coming out soon called the Real Happiness Revolution.
Enlightening, it is.
